About this hike
Lake Bovilla lies about 15 kilometres north-east of Tirana, at the foot of Mount Gamti. Its emerald water, framed by rocky slopes, makes it one of the most photogenic landscapes near the capital.
The hike follows the lake shore and then climbs a stony path to the Bovilla balcony viewpoint, where the view over the lake and the canyon is striking. The last section has steep steps, so wear shoes with good grip.
